Food Chips (TFPL Rules)

Currently TFPL rules regarding food chips state: "Food chips must be earned prior to making an all-in action. No bonus chips can be earned once a player is involved in an all-in situation. If a player hasn’t physically received the bonus chips, they must declare the $5K behind when they declare all-in."

I would like to see it changed so that the food chip must be with the player or declared *before* the hand is dealt. There are many times when good players calculate raises or post-flop bets based on the opponent's chip stack. For someone to have to declare it only prior to going "all-in" seems unfair especially to experienced players and others who are trying to play their best and/or improve their games to compete at a higher level.

For instance, if I were to bet say $3000, seeing my opponents chip stack is only $5000, it creates a certain amount of pressure. However, all of a sudden if he/she were to simply say, hey I have $5000 more (that I didn't know about) -- it changes the nature of the hand substantially. And, I almost certainly would have played/bet it differently.

So once again, I suggest changing the rules to where the chip must be declared prior to the hand starting.

Psst.... Looks like the prize structure was updated. But now the information listed within the article/post on the home page needs to be updated to reflect. I think.

In any case, information gleaned from the dropdown and from the article should match, whichever is correct. ( $250 cash vs "$225 cash + $25 gift")
